Ian Addison Hall was born and raised in West Virginia and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. He has shown his photo collage artwork at Recession Art in 2010’s exhibition, What is the Where? and in 2012’s Prolonged Exposure
This series, called “help yourself (it’s all yours)”, focuses on artifacts stumbled upon on various sidewalks across South Brooklyn. The photos have been altered in various ways so that the found objects appear to echo within the frame. This reverberating effect is intended to represent the energy an object carries with it from its unknown past.
