Product Description
Ian Addison Hall was born and raised in West Virginia and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. He has shown his photo collage artwork at Recession Art in 2010′s exhibition, What is the Where? and in 2012′s Prolonged Exposure
This series, called “y/our streets” focuses on the similarities between Hall’s childhood home in West Virgina and his current home in Brooklyn. These photos, taken in either WV or NYC, have been altered to disguise their original location. This invites the viewer to shed their preconceptions and appreciate each anonymous landscape.
Photos are taken using 35mm film. Negative space is created by printing leftover exposures at the end of each roll and cutting them to shape. The collage comes in a simple white frame.
